My name is Jacqueline Nolan. My company is Ballydam. I come from Dublin, live in Amsterdam, and am a native English writer, actor and trainer. I have extensive experience in corporate communication and leadership development, broadcast journalism, and writing for academics and executives.

A corporate storyteller, a business actor, a trainer, a narrative journalist, a ghostwriter, an editor, a voiceover artist, a stage actress: In practice, I’m all of these; but there is a lot of common ground in the overlap – a propensity for getting to the bottom of things, and for striking the right balance between content and emotion.

I have been working since 2000 as a leadership development actor and trainer, enabling executives and managers understand the impact of their behaviour on others. As a presentation coach, I help speakers identify a clear message and impart it in a way that resonates.

Drawing on my background in journalism, I write feature articles for publication, speeches for executives or public officials, university case studies, corporate training materials and, in 2015, had my debut as a playwright.

Since 2016, I have been regularly commissioned to write and perform stories that tackle in-house issues or external threats from a human and humorous perspective.

I have designed and run a number of workshops on presentation coaching, intercultural communication and competence, preparing master’s students for the job application process, and, together with a colleague, identifying the link between illness and personal core values.

My clients are individuals, consultancies, companies and universities.
